Twice in one week I’ve waited over 9 hours on standby without being told why I was on standby. Told to ignore the updates by text as there not accurate todau alone I’ve been to 2 clinics and turned down from one. And that’s where I’m treated for hiv clinic and Burrell street where I was told to go, thy wonder why STIs are passed on so much . No help whatsoever.

When you arrive you are seen in order, so the earlier you get there the shorter your overall visit will be. I haven’t used the queuing app but it sounds great and if I felt I would be there for ages I’d ask for the link. The staff here work hard at getting as many people seen as possible. All seems very efficient but advance warning that there is a lot of waiting about. I got here at 7am and I was the second in the queue, which had filled to about 40 people by the time the doors opened at 8am. They started calling at 8.30 and I was seen straight pretty much away. If you are just going for a test check up then you can order a kit online and pick it up. This is even for blood tests too - no need to see a blood-taking person as you can do a finger-prick blood test that they can then run through the labs. This is great and ensures that the staff there use their time more effectively to be able to see people who have symptoms rather than spend their time with people who just need tests that can be covered by the kit.

I arrived at the clinic at 7.30am as I had read online that they are often at capacity by the time they open at 8am. I wasn’t surprised to see a fairly long queue already as often the way with a walk in clinic, I was 14th in the line. The reception staff were nice which always helps but i was also really impressed that you fill out a form to be triaged unlike other clinics where you have to wait an hour or so just to be assessed. Once you hand back your forms they give you a rough time to be be seen (mine was roughly an hour) and let you know that they will text you when you’re ready for you. I was seen around 9.30 and was out the door by 10am, compared to other clinics this is amazing!! They send a link that give you where you are in the queue so you have an idea of wait time so you know where you’re at. I saw a lovely doctor and although apprehensive about seeing male staff for my treatment he did everything he could to put me at ease and was really thorough with info. Despite a busy clinic I felt like he really gave me time and listened to me. Thanks Burrell St!! x

I went for a no symptoms STI check after booking a slot on Zesty. I was seen very quickly (within half an hour of arrival) and the woman who I had my appointment with was fab. I don't normally do well with blood tests but she had me at ease and everything was fine. Thank you for a service that I would highly recommend.

I made an IUD fitting appointment through Zesty. I was very apprehensive and nervous. I turned up at my slot time, I was seen within that hour. The building and facilities are like none I have seen before, so clean, modern and light! I saw Irene, who fitted me, she was quick but caring and efficient and made it painless. I couldn't recommend this service more.

This was the third time I had to visit the clinic in order to be seen. On the first occasion I arrived only an hour after they had opened and was told they were full to capacity so couldn’t be seen. The second occasion I arrived 5 minutes before they opened and was already behind 12 people. Because I Wasn’t expecting so many people to have arrived already I had to leave without being seen as I had to go to work. On the third occasion I arrived and was treated well by staff. I enjoyed the online queue system that meant I could go and wait in a coffee shop. Without this I think I would have been raging because I had to wait 5 hours in order to be seen! Seen by a doctor who was lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately due to the 5 hour rate I wouldn’t recommend anyone to attend and will be avoiding it in the future.

There is doctor working there by the name of doctor Ann . Who is very stand- off Ish . And feels she does not have give her name to you. She very cold , abrupt and not comforting , understanding or empathetic in anyway if you are concerned about test symptoms or medication that has made you sick. Regarding reception staff a couple of them are really good , there are some who are unaware of what on earth they are talking about . I was due to attend for some injection , I called up and asked one of the receptionists regarding coming in for an injection, I was advised sorry you have to come to walk in, And we full to capacity today. I replied maybe you should listen to people first before telling them how things should go, and continued to explain I was given an appointment, she appolgised , I replied you need to be careful someone less informed than I would Have missed important medication. There was a senior consultant and nurse called Denise who are very good. They have a lab onsite which is good. But the overall professionalism here is dire.

Great clinic if you enjoy waiting around for 7 hours to see somebody, and enjoy being rudely spoken to when you ask for an update.

Arrived at 8am on a Friday and joined a queue outside. You are given a form to fill in which you circle your symptoms so don’t have to say what your problem is out loud. There is an online queue tracker so you can leave the clinic and wait in a coffee shop nearby, they text you when you are 5th in the queue to return to the clinic. I was seen by a doctor and a nurse who were both brilliant, non judgement and made me feel at ease. I was given choices of what treatment I would prefer and felt my opinions were respected. I left the clinic with my problem resolved by 11:30. My only regret is putting off visiting for so long. If like me you are nervous or embarrassed about going, don’t be! I would 100% recommend this service to anyone who needs it. Could not have had a better experience
